Cam’s story has been featured by the NCAA, American Liver Foundation, University Health’s Transplant Institute, and multiple local and national outlets as an example of what’s possible after living organ donation.​​
She is one of the only known Division I athletes documented in the medical literature to return to play after donating a major organ, and her case has been published as a formal return‑to‑sport protocol for living liver donors in a peer‑reviewed journal.
